orthokeratology

NightLens Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology is a procedure for correcting your vision by gently reshaping the cornea with special corneal molds called NightLenses, which the patient places in his or her eyes overnight.  Remove your Nightlenses in the morning and experience clear vision without contacts, glasses, or surgery.

When successful, patients will experience clear vision during the day without contact lenses or eyeglasses. OrthoK has been studied to slow down or even stop the progression of nearsightedness via myopia control!

Vision Therapy/Vision Training

Vision Therapy is a series of treatment procedures prescribed by optometrists to improve certain types of vision problems that cannot be helped with only glasses or contact lenses. Vision Therapy can help a wide range of vision problems, such as: eyeturns, focusing problems, and amblyopia. Many kids with ADD/ADHD and dyslexia have issues with visual-auditory integrations; these problems can be helped with Vision Therapy.  Vision is more than just 20/20!

LASIK

LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) is a surgical procedure that uses a laser beam to reshape the cornea. Patients who are nearsighted, farsighted or astigmatic may benefit from this type of procedure.

While millions of patients have seen successful results from LASIK, the procedure is not right for everyone. Your optometrist will need to thoroughly examine your eyes to determine which type of vision correction best fits your needs.

River Region Vision Source has the experience and equipment necessary to provide treatment, consultation and referrals for the vision correction procedures and surgeries detailed above at our office in Millbrook. Schedule an appointment with your eye care provider, and we will be in touch with you shortly.
